Sustainability
Working with recycled items creates a diversity of materials and sizes as we use what we can rescue. Currently we use 100% recycled wood and canvas, and 50% recycled paints and hardware (which we hope to increase). While the materials are cleaned and fixed before painting, small imperfections exist. Reused materials sometimes have superficial flaws, wonky edges, scrapes or dings that speak of a past history. As we prioritise adopting a sustainable approach to art making, blemishes are embraced and celebrated.
